Occupational Safety and Health Administration

OSHA’s mission is to “assure safe and healthful working conditions for working men and women by setting and enforcing standards and by providing training, outreach, education and assistance.” The agency is also charged with enforcing a variety of whistleblower statutes and regulations. AASHTO

Nonprofit, nonpartisan association representing highway and transportation departments in the 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico. It represents all five transportation modes: air, highways, public transportation, rail, and water. AFSCME

ISWA – International Solid Waste Association

SWANA – Solid Waste Association of North America

SWANA is an organization of professionals committed to advancing from solid waste management to resource management. The association serves more than 8,300 members throughout North America, and thousands more with conferences, certifications publications and technical training courses.

MWA – Municipal Waste Association

The Municipal Waste Association, formerly known as the Association of Municipal Recycling Coordinators, is an incorporated not-for-profit organization formed in 1987 by Ontario municipal waste management professionals to facilitate the sharing of municipal waste reduction and recycling information and experience.

NCHRP – National Cooperative Highway Research Program

A forum for coordinated and collaborative research, the National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) addresses issues integral to the state Departments of Transportation (DOTs) and transportation professionals at all levels of government and the private sector. NPELRA – National Public Employer Labor Relations Association

National Public Employer Labor Relations Association (NPELRA) is the premier organization for public-sector labor relations and human resources professionals. NPELRA is a network of state and regional affiliates with over 2,000 members around the country. MRSC – The Municipal Research and Services Center

Nonprofit organization that provides legal and policy guidance on any topic to government entities in Washington State. They also offer training in soft-skills/professionalism, ethics, and compliance (nothing to do with safety or driving).

NAFA Fleet Management Association

NAFA is the world’s premier not-for-profit association for professionals who manage fleets. NTEA

The Association for the Work Truck Industry, represents more than 1,950 companies that manufacture, distribute, install, sell and repair commercial trucks, truck bodies, truck equipment, trailers and accessories.
